The Taste of Coffee...and life!

I love grabbing a cup of Java and His word in the mornings!  Taste and see that the Lord is good, was part of my scripture reading this morning, in Ps. 34:8!  The taste of coffee reminded me of my life this morning.

My trials...well they can make me 'bitter' or 'better'.  I choose to be better.  His word reminds me of His constant love and care for me.  He says His plans are better than mine! (Jeremiah 29:11)  I can be 'strong' or I can be 'weak' I choose both because in Joshua 1:9 He tells me to be strong and courageous, but in weakness His power is made perfect, 2 Corinthians12:10.

I'm glad it's okay to not want to go through trials and tribulations because Christ wanted to not have to die on the cross.  He knew it was the only way that I would be able to have access to the heavenly Father!  Tomorrow, will be difficult but I know He is here! (Matthew 28:20b)

A Song In My Heart

Wow....I can't and really do not want to get this fantastic song out of my heart and mind that I have been singing incessantly!  It's "Hold Me"!  Have you heard it?  Here are the magnificent words that speak my exact feelings:

I’ve had a long day I just wanna relax
Don’t have time for my friends, no time to chit-chat
Problems at my job, I'm wonderin’ what to do
I know I should be working but I’m thinking of You and
Just when I think this crazy world is gonna bring me down
That’s when Your smile comes around

Oh, I love the way You hold me, by my side You’ll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love the way you hold me, in Your arms I’ll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love You more than the words in my brain can express
I can’t imagine even loving You less
Lord, I love the way You hold me
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh, oh whoa, I love the way You hold me
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh

Well You took my day and You flipped it around
Calmed the tidal wave and put my feet on the ground
Forever in my heart, always on my mind
It’s crazy how I think about You all of the time
And just when I think I’m ’bout to figure You out (figure You out)
You make me wanna sing and shout

I’m so grateful and thankful for all You’ve done
Wish I could tell You in a short story or poem
But, all I have is my voice and this guitar
And You have my heart

Oh, I love the way You hold me, by my side You’ll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love the way you hold me, in Your arms I’ll always be
You take each and every day, every day, every day
Oh, I love the way You hold me, by my side You’ll always be
You make each and every day, oh-so-special!
I love the way you hold me, in Your arms I’ll always be
You take each and every day, make it special in some way
I love You more than the words in my brain can express
I can’t imagine even loving You less
Lord, I love the way You hold me
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh, oh whoa, I love the way You hold me
Whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh, oh I love

(I love, I love, I love, I love the way you hold me) x 3
(I love, I love, I love, I love the way you, the way you)

Mmmmm....that's just good!  That is like my Lord Jesus!  I love the way He holds me!  He calms that tidal wave!  Yes....He can take each day and every day and make it special!  Boy....it is true that my brain cannot express the feelings I have for Him!  I love His words to me!!!

So full of Him, today!  I love the way You hold me!

Getting ready for the day.....

2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

When I woke this morning I read the above scripture.  There is nothing like starting the day with my Lord!  I also love the wee hours of the morning when at the break of dawn birds begin to chirp announcing the arrival of another beautiful day here in the Carolina's!

I remember an old song I heard when the evangelist Lester Roloff came to our church with the teen girls from their campus and they sang without music but in perfect harmony the following words:

Blue skies and rainbows and sunbeams from Heaven.
Are what I can see with the Lord living in me!

I need to remember when looking in that mirror each morning to dress with the proper wardrobe and garb that will exemplify and honor the Lord.

Rick Warren said this, "The Spirit of God uses the inspired Word of God to help us live like the Son of God!"  God has equipped us with a wardrobe people!! But we must change to grow with it!  Next time you get ready in the morning be sure to put Him on first!

Just nine more days until my little girl, Beth (my best friend) marries her best friend, Jason!   They are getting ready to start the day with "Him"!  What a beautiful day it will be!

Have a beautifully blessed day!

Do Right Until The Stars Fall

Aww...my little girl turned "21" yesterday!  She was born on the first day of Spring and was she ever a beautiful flower that has bloomed into a woman who loves the Lord!  In the realm of the world they say that it is the age for "the right of passage".  I gave her to the Lord the day I laid eyes on her!  She is still His and will always be His.  I would say dance my little girl for the audience of One but she always has and I know she always will.  As you begin your life with Jason, momma has to loosen the grip a bit, but I'm not worried ... you know who you are and Whose you are!

I use to quote this to my children all the time, "Do right until the stars fall."  I said it whenever they came to a place in their lives where they would be tempted to do the opposite of what they had always known to be right.  Whether it was to turn the other cheek or to walk over and sit with the most unpopular child in the lunch room and have lunch with them.

"Do right until the stars fall."   Then I would follow up by saying, "And my dear the stars are not going fall because God placed them there for a reason."

"The integrity of the upright guides them but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity."  Prov 11:3

So is the question.....What is "Integrity"?  Well integrity in the dictionary is defined as;  firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values:  Incorruptibility:  an unimpaired condition:  soundness: the quality or state of being complete or undivided:  completeness.

I believe "Integrity" with a capital I  is essential to a Christ like walk.  It is definitely a balance of what we say and what we actually do.

I love my parents and I believe without their influence and their love for the Lord whether it be considered conservative, staunch, or "King James" version style....I may not have very well known my Lord the way I do and love Him the way I do.  Yes, I had to learn to be responsible for the relationship I have with my Lord, no one else.  I love His Word and the human race He created.

Parents...
"Do not grow weary in well-doing for in due season you will reap if you faint not!" Gal 6:9

Bottom Line Today......"Christ was never worried about time because He had eternity on His mind and souls to find.  He loved ultimately!  Where do you draw the line?

In the Waiting

I don't remember where I've heard it said but I shared this with "The Secret Place" prayer group.

"If prayer is one part speaking and one part listening,
I think there's a third part people don't often talk about:  waiting."

God has said in His Word:  "Don't fret or worry.  Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.  Before you know it., a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good will come and settle you down."  Phil 4:6,7 (The Message)

I don't know what you may be going through today but you can have peace in the midst of the storms.  We must rest in His promises and He loves that when we do!  He wants our attention and demands it though He wants us to want it, too!

Did you talk to Him, today?  He is waiting!
